Are you accepting new patients?I occasionally have openings for new individual therapy clients. Please note that I am no longer accepting new couples therapy clients, and I do not see children or teenagers. Please read these FAQs and email me to inquire about my availability.

When are you available for appointments?I offer daytime appointments Monday - Thursday between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm. I do not have appointments available on evenings or weekends. Due to the high demand for mental health services, I have very limited openings, and my availability for specific appointment times can change quickly. Contact me to inquire about specific appointment times.

What insurance do you accept?I currently accept the following insurance plans as an in-network provider: Aetna (excluding Aetna CVS and Medicare) BCBS (most plans)** North Carolina State Health Plan, as a Clear Pricing Project Provider ** Note: I do not accept any Medicaid, Medicare, or Medicare Advantage plans. I am also not in-network with the following BCBS plans: Blue Home, Blue High Performance Network, Blue Advantage, Blue Local, and Healthy Blue. If I don't accept your insurance, it is still possible that your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of your self-pay services. I do not submit out-of-network claims; however, I can provide you with a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please speak to your insurance provider directly to get information regarding your mental health coverage, out-of-network benefits, co-pays, and deductible. Important Note: Some services, including couples therapy, premarital counseling, and certain therapy intensives may not be covered by insurance. Please click here to view self-pay rates.

Do you offer free consultations?I offer free 15-minute consultations for potential clients by video chat. These calls give us an opportunity to see if we might be a good fit to work together, and it allows me to answer any questions you might have. If you are interested in scheduling a free consultation, please email me to inquire about my availability for new clients.

Are appointments in-person or online?I offer both in-person sessions in North Raleigh and online video sessions to clients anywhere in North Carolina. Please note that my in-person availability is currently limited to Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons. I offer online appointments at other times.

What forms of payment do you accept?I accept all major credit and debit cards, including HSA and FSA cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, and Diner's Club.

What issues do you treat?I specialize primarily in treating PTSD, trauma, and dissociative disorders, including depersonalization/derealization and dissociative identity disorder (DID). I also frequently assist clients with anxiety and grief, including traumatic grief. What types of therapy do you offer?I don't believe that one-size fits all when it comes to therapy. I am trained in a variety of science-backed treatments so we can find the right fit for you. I am trained in all of the top evidence-based treatments for PTSD, including: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Prolonged Exposure Written Exposure Therapy I also utilize the following treatment approaches in individual therapy: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), including advanced training in CBT for Anxiety (CBT-A) CBT for Depression (CBT-D) CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I) CBT for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP) Internal Family Systems I am trained in the top evidence-based treatment methods for couples: Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) Gottman Method (level 3) Cognitive Behavioral Conjoint Therapy (CBCT) - couples therapy specifically designed for PTSD
